I’ve waited for years to be on drum line and I got bass 3 this year! I’m super excited, but the harness that I had for a bit is broken and it made my back hurt so bad 😭. This is crazy I love marching band so much. Great job bro

Hey Nic I'm a freshman. How much marching band music do you guys play?
In high school, you typically learn an 8-minute field show, as well as a handful of stand tunes and cadences, but that varies a lot from school to school. Talk to the band veterans at your school and your directors, they can help you out. Good luck and have fun!
As a snare drummer and section leader I’m highly surprised when yall ain’t using traditional, plus the HS is supporting the drumline. I personally have given money to support my drumline since the school wouldn’t give 2 shits bout ours so, overall I love it 👍🏼
Our school didn’t run trad because matched was easier for our instructors to clean
I got to play rack this at Emerson High School in 2024. Is that very hard to play Nic?
Rack isn’t the hardest part in the ensemble but can have its own challenges. The parts can be pretty fun because you change instruments a lot

This is incredible, I’ve always loved percussion but I’m stuck with a French horn. Keep up the good work!
It's never too late to learn a new instrument, and for percussion all you need is a pair of sticks and a half decent drum pad. Never sell yourself short, go for it
